MOORE RECEIVES AWARD FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE EFFORTS

-- The Counselors for Social Justice Awards Committee has selected James Moore III, assistant professor of counselor education, OSU's School of Physical Activity and Educational Services, as one of the Ohana Award recipients for 2006. The Ohana Awards, to be presented Saturday (4/1) in Montreal, are given annually at the American Counseling Association conference to honor individuals in counseling who affirm diversity and advocate for social justice. Moore's research interests include a focus on the influence of school counselors on the educational experiences and career aspirations of students of color. He has received numerous awards and grants.
