Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Tomorrow, Friday January 9th the city of Cleveland, Oh will be on fire as the Boston Celtics come to town for a possible preview of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Ohio fans still upset about the Fiesta Bowl loss? Well this is no bowl game but looking back into the last couple of years, this game should turn out to be a great one. If anyone can think back to the 2007 NBA Playoffs Boston was non existent as Cleveland dethorned the mighty Eastern Conference Detroit Pistions. The Cavs went on to lose in the Finals, but Cleveland fans were confident that with a few key off-season moves the Cavs would be a team of the future.

However, for the 2007-2008 season Boston made some key moves in the off-season and managed to get a powerful three man tandem of superstars in Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. With other role players stepping up the Celtics managed to post the best single season turn around in NBA history with a record of 66-16 improving by 42 games from the previous season. After Boston clashed with the Atlanta Hawks for a series victory in 7 games, they took out the Cavaliers in a very entertaining 7 game series. Boston went on to win the N.B.A finals against the L.A Lakers after beating the Detroit Pistons in the Conference Finals.

After the Cavs made it to the 2007 Finals, and Boston made it to the 2008 Finals the two teams have the two best records in the NBA this season. Boston is 29-8, and Cleveland is 28-6. Earlier this season the Cavs lost to the Celtics in Boston by 5 points. The game Friday night is on the Cavs home court where they are undefeated for the season.
