Discover Law at Moritz Event

The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law is committed to helping students achieve their desired goals in life through the active pursuit of education. To this end, the Office of Admissions and Minority Affairs would like to extend an invitation to you and your students to attend the College’s Discover Law at Moritz Program. The purpose of the event is to increase members of the minority community understanding of the legal profession and expose them to career opportunities. Additionally, the program will offer insights into the requirements for admission to law school and entrance into the legal profession. Our target group is talented college students of color (but all are welcome to attend). We seek not only those students with an interest in attending law school, but also students who may not know what their career interests post undergrad may be.
Discover Law at Moritz will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Moritz College of Law (Drinko Hall). The day will begin at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 2:00 PM with a complimentary lunch. During the day students will hear from one of Deans at the College of Law, practicing attorneys and our current law students. Additionally, participants will learn about the application process and opportunities for aspiring lawyers from diverse backgrounds through a presentation by Lynda Cevllos of the Council on Legal Education Outreach ( www.celoscholars.org) located in Washington D.C.
We are asking for your help promoting this event by posting the included flyer or by inviting students personally to the event. If you and/or your students are interested in attending this event, please register by February 10th via our website at http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/admissions/mlop.php (Website will be live after January 11th). If you have questions or need more information, I can be reached by phone at 614-688-8212 or by e-mail at: nicholson.104@osu.edu.
We look forward to greeting you and/or your students on the morning of February 18, 2010.
Sincerely,
Jimmi Nicholson
