Experts Sound off on Chris and Rihanna

Earlier this week, Chris Brown was arraigned on two felony counts of domestic abuse over the incident with Rihanna a few months ago. Newsone.com sat down with journalists, activists and other experts to dissect hip hop's relaltionship with and opinion of women.

The debate got immediately heated as activists argued that hip hop promotes domestic violence and that its lyrics are degrading to females while hip hop supporters zealously defended their music as a means of expression, no more and no less. The debate was in preparation for a larger forum, "Does Hip Hop hate Women" town hall meeting that will soon be held at Connecticut College.
