Summer Volunteering



Looking for something to do this summer? Well here's some help, there's a position available as an academic instructor/ assistant for part of the summer with The Assembly of Faith Church.

"This summer camp is being hosted by The Assembly of Faith Church. The camp will be held at a Columbus City Elementary School located on the Southeast side of Columbus. We are seeking to obtain talented individuals who are interested in teaching Kindergarten thru Sixth grade students. The academic scope includes targeted areas in math, history, reading and language arts. As well, the camp is multifaceted and desires to provide an equal balance to incorporate extracurricular sporting activities such as basketball, football, track, volleyball and much more."

ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed teaching professional with State of Ohio teaching certification. Plan and prepare academic curriculum for assigned grade levels. Promote the importance of sustaining academics over summer while operating within the freedoms of teaching within a non-traditional format. Desired areas of expertise: math, history, reading, language arts, and physical education.



ACADEMIC ASSISTANT:

Graduate and undergraduate students interested in sharing their passion for teaching and/or mentoring. Provide mentoring, tutoring, assistance with classroom instruction, possess an interest and capable of providing academic guidance in the areas of math, history, reading, language arts and physical education for Kindergarten to sixth grade students.
