The Office of Minority Affairs’ World Service Program provides funding for international volunteer experiences for minority students at The Ohio State University.

Time Table for Summer 2008
February 29, 2008: Applications due to OMA

April 2008: Recipients and alternates notified

May-June 2008: Orientation and travel arrangements are completed

Summer 2008: Student participates in country-based program

September 2008: Report on service experience submitted to OMA

Student Qualifications
Must be a student of African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent currently enrolled at The Ohio State University Columbus campus.

Must have completed three quarters of study at The Ohio State University by the time the program begins. The equivalent of junior standing is required for transfer students.

Minimum GPA of 3.0.
