Majors Desired: Logistics & Transportation, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain,
Human Resources, and Industrial Engineering
Assignment Date: Summer, 12 weeks
Hours: 40/week
College Status: Undergraduate Junior - Grad. School
Paid/Unpaid: Paid
Min GPA: 3.0
Must be a U.S. Citizen

This is a Full-Time, Permanent, Bargaining Unit, Classified, Overtime-eligible position (may include promotion, transfer or demotion).
Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Operations Administrator, in the Business Service Division, receives correspondence from the office mailroom, sorts correspondence by general type of service required (i.e. UCC, Corporate; Expedite, Regular) to be performed on behalf of the customer; opens and stamps checks and documents; identifies the level of filing and sorts as appropriate for further processing; researches status of filings and customer inquiries; provides customer service in the efficient and accurate preparation of documents submitted to be filed by the Business Services Division of the Secretary of State's Office; meets established deadlines and guidelines for quality and productivity. Identifies and distributes correspondence and undeliverable mail; retrieves, researches and responds to electronic mail and facsimile customer inquiries; updates batch information to complete the processing daily; completes a Quality Control review of specified fields to determine accuracy of customer information (i.e., certificate, check and address information); prepares documents for the imaging process; meets established deadlines and guidelines for quality and productivity. Utilizes office microfilm/microfiche equipment/systems in order to view and retrieve documents requested by the public; retrieves archive files in order to reproduce copies of documents, filings and related information submitted to the office that have been requested; meets established deadlines and guidelines for quality and productivity. Assigns the work level and service type to the batches; ensures information is entered into the system in date order to determine status of filings; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 6 months training or 6 months experience in office practices & procedures; 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations or customer service to include techniques with dealing with difficult people; 1 course or 3 months experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing; 1 course or 3 months experience in operation of personal computer
Or equivalent of minimum qualifications for employment noted above.
