Its time for another round of current events!

Topping the list is the outbreak of Swine flu all over Mexico and parts of North America. So far over 100 people have already died from the disease in Mexico. Cases have been reported here in the United States but none have been fatal. Still the government is urging everyone to stay calm and avoid unnecessary trips to Mexico for at least the next three months.

In other news, fighting has intensified around the Pakistani capital of Islamabad as government forces continue to battle Taliban and Al-Qaeda insurgents. The government bombed suspected rebel positions early today as a part of a new offensive aimed at regaining Pakistani territory.

Nine Somalians were detained and arrested on charges of piracy. They are suspected to be the same pirates who attempted to hijack a luxury cruise liner over the weekend.
