GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP (GRA)
9-months/20 hours per week
Supervisor: Dr. Terrell Strayhorn
A GRA position is available immediately in the School of Educational Policy & Leadership within the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University (OSU). This is a 9-month 0.50 FTE GRA appointment that requires services of 20 hours per week. The position offers full tuition, plus stipend and benefits that are consistent with the level of appointment. This position is designed to support the research program and related activities of Dr. Terrell Strayhorn, Associate Professor of Higher Education, in the School of Educational Policy & Leadership, http://ehe.osu.edu/epl/directory/terrell-strayhorn/. Specifically, the GRA will assist Dr. Strayhorn in synthesizing literature, collecting and analyzing research/evaluation data, writing reports/articles, disseminating findings to various audiences. In that way, the position will also provide the successful candidate with professional development opportunities while enrolled in a graduate degree program at OSU; thus, admission to a graduate program at OSU is required for consideration. Doctoral students are strongly encouraged to apply; masters students also will be considered. Skills or experience in statistics, program evaluation, and/or academic writing a plus.
