INROADS Big Four Accounting Internship


Outline:
Required qualifications for the internship position
·      Pursuing a bachelors in Accounting.
·      Must be graduating and completing the required credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam (as specified by your state) between December 2012 and August 2013.
·      Seeking a career in public accounting.
·      G.P.A. of 3.2
·      Excellent Communication Skills.
·      Leadership and Time Management Skills.
·      Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
·      Must be able to provide own transportation and housing in the Columbus area



Additional requirements:

Attention to detail, academic excellence, passion for accounting, shows initiative and self motivated to learn all aspects of the job. Asks thoughtful questions and is focused.

Intern will work on several tasks over the 8 week internship.  Many of the tasks that they will perform are administrative and require skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  During the first summer, interns may be asked to work in the Mail Room, Document and Report preparation departments, as well as work closely with our Administrative Assistants in supporting managers and partners.  In working with the support staff the interns may help with document tracking, research on clients and preparing reports for the client.  Interns also are asked to interview a member of every service line and prepare a report detailing what they learned about our practices. 

Occasionally interns are asked to help the recruitment department by attending and helping to plan recruiting events.  Interns MAY be given the opportunity to work on Client Service Delivery work.
