Blueprint: College Program Description
Blueprint: College is a partnership among Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience, the P-12 Project, the Economic Access Initiative, and Columbus City Schools. The program’s goals are twofold: to give first-generation, low-income, and/or minority parents tips on how to prepare their children for college and to relay the importance of a college education to their children.
Student Facilitator Job Description
We are looking for a diverse group of enthusiastic Buckeyes who will serve as role models in the student classroom sessions of Blueprint: College and who can properly convey a strong message of the importance of college to young students. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Student facilitators must have some understanding of child development and/or be committed to promoting educational opportunities to underserved families.
Students are eligible to apply if you:
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
• Are currently enrolled in at least your second quarter at Ohio State.
• Are willing to commit to work all scheduled program hours (about six hours per week, April 21–May 31).
• Are available from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and Tuesday evenings (5-9 p.m.), April 29–May 27.
Facilitators must also be available for a training session on Saturday, April 12, and two Saturday programs on campus scheduled for May 17 and May 31.
