13th Annual Michelle Slater/Leroy Johnson Memorial Scholarship Banquet
Saturday, May 3 from noon-2 p.m. at the Longaberger Alumni House
Come one, come all to the 13th Annual Michelle Slater/Leroy Johnson Memorial Scholarship Banquet!!! Hosted by yours truly, the Black Graduate and Professional Student Caucus. The Theme for this year's Banquet is the Role of the Black Professional in the Twenty-first Century.
It's taking place this Saturday, May 3 from noon-2 p.m. at the Longaberger Alumni House. It's in conjunction with a whole host of activities sponsored by the African American Heritage Festival and the OSU African American Alumni Reunion.
We have a dynamic speaker in Dr. Leonard N. Moore, an Associate Professor of History at the University of Texas @ Austin. His interests include Modern African American History; black urban history; intersection of race, sport, and hip-hop and he has appeared on such programs as ESPN, CBS's 60 Minutes, CNN, National Public Radio, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, ESPN Radio, and Sporting News Radio.
Join us as we honor our award recipients, both graduate and undergraduate. We willalso provide a free lunch catered by University Caterers while you enjoy the event!
We ask and encourage you to come out and support all of these programs as they honor and celebrate the continued African American presence here at The Ohio State University. So tell a friend or friends, come on out, and enjoy yourself!!!
