Tutoring and Retention Counseling Requests - Spring Quarter
Spring Quarter GradesFirst Registration Monday, March 14th to Friday, April 29th
Program participants are required to complete program affiliated GradesFirst registration and training in order to schedule retention counseling appointments and request tutors. Students must register and complete training ONCE during the academic year. If you have already registered and activated an account, you DO NOT need to register again.
Important Program Deadline Dates:
• Monday, March 28th, the Tutoring Program office will begin accepting tutor appointment requests
• Monday, April 4th, tutors will begin meeting with students
• Friday, April 29th, 5:00 PM, GradesFirst registration deadline
• Friday, June 3rd, final day of tutoring for spring quarter
Registration and Training Instructions

STEP 1: Carmen Join
• Log into Carmen
• On the Carmen navigation bar click “Join”
• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Join” again
• Follow the instructions in STEP 2 to determine which course to select on the “Self Registering Course Offerings Page.”
STEP 2: Registration and Program Affiliated Training
ODI Funded and Affiliated Students (Access Collaborative, Bell Resource Center, Bridge Program, Morrill Scholars Program, Freshman Foundation Program, and Young Scholars Program)
• Select the course “ODI, Student Retention Services”
• Complete the program registration form
• Click “Register”
• Click “Submit”
• On the Join confirmation page, click “Finish”
• Access the ODI, Retention services Page from Carmen under “Ongoing Courses, Academic Advancement Services, ODI Retention Services.”
OR
Non ODI Funded and Affiliated Students
• Select the page “ODI, Tutoring Program, Student Page”
• Complete the program registration form
• Click “Register”
• Click “Submit”
• On the Join confirmation page, click “Finish”
• Access the ODI, Tutoring Program, Student Page from Carmen Home under “Ongoing Courses, Academic Advancement Services, ODI Tutoring Program, Student Page”
All training affiliated documents will be located on the Carmen page. Student accounts are activated once training is completed. Questions, comments, or concerns email gradesfirst@osu.edu or call (614)292-8732. Questions regarding tutoring, email oma-tutor@osu.edu.
